How to Find Beauty in Everything ❤️

Something I realised while travelling is that a lot of people aren’t seeing the beauty at home and are escaping to new places. Let’s not think ‘the grass is greener on the other side’ anymore—lets start recognising all sorts of beauty that surrounds us. When people say beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, I 100% agree. When we are able to spot beauty, we’ll be able to see that in ourselves too—this is one great way to open up to loving yourself.

How to see the beauty in everything?

01 Slow Down & Feel ❤️
Slowing down to look around is the obvious first step. We’re often in a rush and feeling overwhelmed by our surroundings. Let’s start with your own body—Can you feel how you’re breathing? Can you feel your toes? Which part of your body is tensed? Is your Jaw tensed up? Noticing anything new? Now that you’re present & here, look around. Maybe this time, you’ll feel things are rather beautiful.

02 Use the Eyes of Your Inner Child 👀
Do you remember how you behaved when you were a kid? What did you do when you saw something you never expected? What wow-ed you? What impressed you? Almost anything could make you go wild and make you happy! Try looking around through those pairs of eyes. Without any judgment or preconceived notions, almost anything can be beautiful.

03 Shed the Thought of ‘Good’ & ‘Bad’ 🚩
As kids, we were taught what was ‘good’ and what was ‘bad’ to protect us. A lot of us bring that definition through to our adulthoods very naturally. Unknowingly to tend to label what is in front of us as ‘Good’ or ‘Bad’ subconsciously. Try to shed all these judgmental thoughts and you’ll see that beauty can be seen everywhere. What you thought was ‘bad’ could be beautiful in a poetic way.

I think it’s very shallow to think that beauty can only be a certain way. When it’s sunny, it’s beautifully warm. When it’s raining, it’s beautifully cooling. Try this perspective if you haven’t started noticing the beauty in everything. There is truly something beautiful in all the things and people around us if only we started noticing them—even yourself. Let’s start appreciating how life and people and experience, both hard and fun, can be so beautiful.

With Love,
Chara
